9-year-old Thaaragai and her father Aravind Tharunsri are on a mission to make the ocean a greater place for marine life. They repeatedly conduct seaside and ocean clean-ups and marine conservation consciousness classes.

A scuba diving teacher by occupation, Aravind Tharunsri has been cleansing the underside of the ocean for the previous 20 years. To date, he has collected 30,000 kg of plastics from the ocean.

He advocates for marine conservation and has been encouraging his daughter to be a part of his actions. Now, he’s joined by his daughter in his efforts to wash the ocean.

His daughter Thaaragai Aarathana was simply 5 years previous when she began scuba diving! Collectively, the father-daughter duo has collected over 1,000 kg of plastic.
